Students will explore all the facets of filmmaking with guidance from industry professionals, combined with hands-on experience using professional equipment. The program covers visual storytelling, scriptwriting, lighting, cinematography, audio & editing. By semester’s end, students will complete four projects, gaining both practical experience and insightful feedback to refine their work.
Beginner Film & Video Production (Ages 8–11)
An exciting introduction to filmmaking designed specifically for young creators. Students learn the basics of storytelling, camera operation, shot composition, directing, sound, and editing while working together to create original short films and video projects. The class encourages creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and confidence.
Intermediate Film & Video Production (Ages 10-13)
Designed for students ready to take their filmmaking skills to the next level, this course dives deeper into directing, cinematography, editing, sound, and visual storytelling. Students collaborate on more developed film projects while learning how creative and technical decisions work together to bring a story to the screen.
Advanced Film Production (14 & Up)
A hands-on filmmaking course for teens interested in developing their skills behind the camera. Students explore directing, cinematography, lighting, sound, editing, storytelling, and production while collaborating on original film and video projects. Students gain practical experience taking projects from concept through final edit.
Story & Script Development: Learn how to craft compelling narratives, concept storyboards and write dynamic shooting scripts.
Cinematography & Lighting: Work with professional cameras and lighting setups to create cinematic visuals.
Sound Recording & Design: Capture clean dialogue and wild sound, and explore basic foley and audio post-production techniques.
Directing & Crew Collaboration: Assume various roles from director to cinematographer, and build teamwork in a film crew.
Editing & Post‑Production: Use industry-standard editing tools to piece your footage together and polish the final cut.
